You used to be able to see Pluto on a very clear night. This was before they got rid of it.

When a strong front pushes through, the skies are much clearer.

If you're interested, grab a pair of celestron 15x70s. They run about $65 on Amazon. Much more portable than a telescope and will allow you to see several times more than the naked eye.
