OT AC Experts: Another suggestion?

Looking for some suggestions. Periodically my condensing unit outside will start but the blower won't turn on. Without air moving, the house won't cool, and the condenser will continue to run unless I turn the thermostat to off. A few minute wait after flipping the circuit breaker off and on and resetting the thermostat and everything is fine again. Sometimes it happens as often as 24 hours apart, sometimes a number of days. At times when the air won't blow, I can flip the thermostat to heat and it'll blow immediately, no reset of anything required. The only thing I knew to look for was if the pan was full, but it's bone dry. Anyone have this issue before?
Update: Per suggestions in my previous thread, I changed the thermostat out last Monday, worked fine until Saturday, and now the fan never powers on. AC guy came out, said capacitor is fine, looks like I need a replacement circuit board. Got back to me today with a cost of $600+. Is this something that is out of the realm of google and youtube to replace myself or what?

Is this next to the flux capacitor?

Just like I told you the first time. Relay on control board is sticking, will have to replace control board, should take about 30-45 min. $600 sounds a little steep, just depends on the type, you could gamble and pay another service call to maybe get it cheaper.

No, it's attached to the kanuter valve.

At work now, so couldn't tell you a model number, just know it's a Payne unit in the attic.

Easy to fix yourself.
Bought my replacement board on Amazon for $120.
I also replaced capacitor and transformer and keep a capacitor spare. So cheap you should always keep a spare capacitor.

I would get a part# off the board and see what I find on the internet.

If $600 sounds steep, but I'd have to wait for another service call days away and have the price come down $100, I'll just shell out the money. But if this is something I could do myself for a total cost of $200 I'd want to.

Will do. I used them for a replacement relay on my refrigerator a couple years ago. $25 and that 12 year old unit still running strong .
