Right, that's what I don't know. Because it's new construction and I've never had anything but gas heat.

I have heat pumps... Mitsubishi inverter. Can hardly hear the things. Anyway, it works great in the summer and OK in the winter... but the colder it gets, the less efficient it is. Fortunately my fireplace will heat the entire house (it's foam and completely sealed).

It's not would one would call a conventional setup though.

Why does it run in the summer? I thought it was for heating.
