Old Soldiers: Did You Drink Regularly at Officer's Clubs?

In this modern world of safe spaces and liberal arts degrees for everyone, the Army officer of today is deprived of all the gentlemanly trappings of the Officer's Club. Apparently too many SJWs were getting their feelings hurt and not feeling included, so in typical Army fashion, the baby was thrown out with the bath water. There may still be one at Fort Belvoir, but I've never seen it.
Were the O-Clubs of past regular drinking spots? I've spent time in USAF O-Clubs, and I must say it seems like a great thing to have. The old O-Club at Fort Benning was always cool, too.
Any good O-Club stories?

SJWs didn't ruin the O'Club. Zero Tolerance for DWI DUI did. If I go to the club after work it's for one beer and then I leave.

This.... When I first went in I drank there all the time. But, it was a two minute walk to my quarters...once I had to drive I only went for functions and never drank. Career killer to get pulled over on base after a few.

The O-club and Chiefs mess is pretty baller here. I've seen the inside of both in passing. Im drinking my shite beer next door right now with my fellow peasants.

The best O Club story I have is the time in Korea when we hauled in probably 20 loads of clean sand, dumped it everywhere inside so that we had about six inches of sand everywhere then we had a beach party.
