WWL has the worst talk show host.
The only person I will actually go out of my way to listen to is Newel Normand.
I don’t mind Tommy Tucker either but all the rest completely fricking suck.

So did I. When he would fill in for Newell Normand he held his own when attacked for his conservative views. Probably one of the main reasons he’s leaving WWL. That station may as well be owned by Clancy Dubos or John Georges as liberal as they are.
The good news is that Garic has announced he will be hosting his own conservative talk show on WGSO, 990AM out of New Orleans starting next week from 11-2. It’s too bad people automatically assumed that his departure from WWL was because he fell off the wagon.

WWL is a self proclaims News, Talk and Sports radio station....admittedly news and talk trumps sports to them.
Going to WWL for sports coverage is like going to Applebees for steak...you might be able to find it there but it's available other places in a better version without much effort

This is Louisiana right here. Settle for it because they are "one of us".
Bobby is absolutely TERRIBLE at a daily radio show. He cannot focus. He cannot conduct an interview. They rely on callers as if this is 1992.
Bobby would be fine for the after game show and that's it.
It would nice to have actual radio professionals that know how to put together well formatted, well thought out shows.
Too much to ask, I know.

WWL is nothing but ads. Even when they come back from commercial break they slip in product ads during their talk. I like listening to Bobby and Mike and callers but the commercials are just too much. I just stream everything now.

I heard him host the halftime show all by himself Sunday and I know what you mean. He was always good as part of a panel with Buddy, Kaare, etc. but he's just not the kind of pro radio guy you want flying solo.
He could grow into it. I mean, he's not Drew Brees / Dennis Miller bad.

Its kinda crazy how bad New Orleans sports talk is and has always been. Just awful.
