Turns out the guy is a Muslim. We shouldn't stereotype this man nor his religion for their treatment of women. We should defend him.

That is completely correct. It is a big reason why we should not stereotype gun owners because of what some disturbed retired white guy did in Las Vegas recently. Individuals are only responsible for their own crimes, not those of someone else.

The majority of legal gun owners in America are decent, lawful people. That's not the case for a group of people from a certain part of the world who literally want to kill us all. There are billions of Muslims around the world and most of them are decent people, but the ones from the Mid-East would love nothing more than to destroy us.

They never mentioned his religion. Having an Arabic name doesn't necessarily mean the guy is Muslim. They aren't big on casual dating and from the picture, his date looked like an Arabic woman who wasn't covered up (suggesting she might be Christian).
