I use Aquaphor with a q-tip. Nasal sprays will make the blood vessels contract which help stop the bleeds. Mine was too far gone and that's why I had to have the cauterization done.

I had both nostrils done due to thin lining in my nostrils causing frequent nosebleeds.
Had both done a few years ago and haven't had a nosebleed since.

I was worried the first time that I would lose some sense of smell. Then my ENT informed me that indeed, I was a moron, and knew nothing about olfactory glands.

This is my second time having it done. First time, was well over 15 years ago.

I had it done when I was 18. The doctor shot me up with cocaine as the anesthetic. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
