I don't see why the banging on the field thing is so unbelievable. Didn't a buncha people have sex in the superdome during katrina?

I was at Georgia in the late 90's when some LSU fans somehow got a truck into Sanford Stadium on Friday night before the game and burned "LSU" with their truck tires at midfield.

Needless to say, our stadium is locked up tight as frick now.

Same here. We used to just walk in at the old South Endzone entrance all the time. During the day, you could always find people running the stadium steps.

I never did "it" on the field, but me and my college girlfriend did it in the old pressbox.

We also used to go tape our alcohol below our seats the Friday before every home game -- never had to worry about getting "caught" bringing alcohol into the stadium on gameday. And, even if you did get caught, all they did was confiscate the booze and any flask you may be carrying it in so it wasn't that big of a deal - other than the fact that you'd have to go through the game sober or, more than likely, coming down off a buzz.

there was an unlocked open gate til at least the mid nineties when the gift shop was beneath the stadium, you could just walk right onto the field anytime, maybe when they starting all the remodeling/expansions is when they began tightening up

You know, there was another time that we went in the stadium after a night of drinking and an campus cop caught us. He told us to just move along. That's how you handle that stuff....don't hurt students by arresting them.
