Downloaded this app again recently as my New Year's resolution was to get back to running more and the app sucks now.
It had such a simple interface, you could see how fast, how far, and your route. You could challenge friends, see you month totals, yearly totals, and weekly totals.

Bow it seems like it is just a bunch of articles and recommendations. Became more of a pain in the arse to use.

If you're really interested in tracking runs, get one of those FitBit GPS watches.

I can never get it to play my playlist correctly. always takes 30 seconds to start, then repeats the first song, and never shuffles like I tell it to.

Mapmyrun is the way to go. It's the under armor app. Used it for years.

Started using on called Strava, it syncs automatically to Googled it and other apps. Seems pretty decent but for any feature they want you to upgrade to premium.

We use to do monthly mile challenges on the OT using Nike+ now I can't see where you would challenge a friend.

Yeah years ago I think my Nike Frees were promoting this.
I downloaded it and don't remember what i hated about it, it being so long ago, but just remember thinking it was booty....

I do think I ended up using the Nike running app other times though, just didn't do the deal with connecting it with the Frees.

As long as it lets you post how much you ran on social media does anything else really matter?

Yes I agree. Ive had it since 2012. It was pretty good back then in 2012 and 2013. Then they got rid of challenges and it got worse. They kept saying they were making it better, but they didnt.

Then they did a massive overhaul within the past year and its even worse now. I dont udnerstand what they are thinking, but not its shite on the app and shite when you check it on the computer.

I used it for a while and liked it. Then after a update to the app I had to register and log in to use it. WTF? Deleted it.

We tried a few and nothing panned out as we expected. So we went back to the basics...drove my car around the subdivision to measure a 3 mile route.

Bought an inexpensive stopwatch to keep track of how long it takes us to run the 3 miles each time.

This feature can easily be managed in Excel if you are willing to take 30 seconds out of your day and type in your results.

MapMyRun is great by itself. Use it or Strava.

As far as a FitBit. EFF those bulky expensive things. I just recently got the TomTom Cardio. It'll sync to mapmyrun and myfitness pal. The pedometer for treadmill runs is accurate. Also has an accurate HR monitor and is totally waterproof(you can swim with it).

im with you... and may have been the easiest to clean.... working behind a high volume bar, if have been and liquor spilled all in/over them..... sometimes I'd just throw them in the washing machine and take them out and they would dry fast as shite from the material they were made of and having the little holes in the woven type fabric..... or id just spray them boys off with a hose pipe and they'd be clean and dry then next day.... goat nikes

my wife uses that tomtom and Strava. Only issue she has it that she runs so fricking much that the battery dies before her run ends

Agree completely - NikePlus used to be amazing. It had a streamlined clean design and was very easy to track everything you've ever done, look at your route, etc. The new version they updated a few months ago is complete shite. For so many reasons.

I tried to move over to Strava but like you said anything makes you upgrade - but it's still better than Nike. The only reason I even still have Nike on my phone is because I have 3 years of running data on there I don't want to lose. Apparently there is some way to export the Nike+ data to Strava...

The problem for me with switching to another service is I have a competition going with one of friends since 2013 on nike+ with our run totals and im too invested in it
