One other aspect going on here, pandering to fat people in general is becoming big business these days.
As obesity rates have sky rocketed, companies are picking up on the fat that there are a lot of fat people out there to make money off of.
So a lot of products are not actively pitching themselves to fatties.
(that's not what's going on in this case, as I mentioned above, this is purely a PR move on SI's part to deflect criticism from the SJW crowd)
