Got a friend moving to New Orleans with a girl going to the 7th grade and a boy going to the 9th. I'm from Lake Charles and know nothing about the middle schools in that area or the weird all girl/all boy thing going on there. What are some reccomended middle schools and what would be the best high school out of Holy Cross, Rummel, and Jesuit for the boy? Athletics sort of matter.

It sounds like Rummel is about to close soon.

The school is sort of going to decide the area, they were also looking at the Covington/St Paul's area

Ecole Classique. It's in Metairie but if sports played at a high level matter, the commute is worth it.

academically?

1. jesuit
2. holy cross
3. rummel

athletically
1. jesuit
2. rummel
3. holy cross

*i like my friends from rummel, but they are having some noted administrative/enrollment problems..not sure how well the school will be off in a few years

st pauls is a good school. The northshore also has viable public schools. The south shore does not.
