I passed by this yesterday. What's the story there? Is it open? Anything cool to do there? I saw roller coaster tracks.

Very cool place. Nostalgic (at least for me having gone there in me younger years).

Yeah it's open and def. fun for the little ones.

Someone can make a nice day with the family out there. In addition to the amusement park, there is
story land
neat 36 hole mini golf course
Morning Call (for beignes and coffee)
Paddle boat and canoe rentals
multi person bike rentals
play grounds
hiking trail'
free sculpture garden
New Orleans Museum of Art
fishing
and a nice new golf course will open soon.

Normal hours of operation, yes. Its perfect for 8 year olds.

Brews and Boos, however, was fricking awesome.
It started at 11:00 following the Friday night Voodoofest performances. All you can drink and they ran those rides at max speed. It was a damn good time. Totally changed my perspective on that place

They had some sort of beer fest thing in there a few months ago. The rides were pretty cool. Brought back memories.

Enjoyed the frick out of that place as a kid.

I still get excited when I see the train rolling through City Park. That was my favorite back in the day.

Yeah, this is a must ride for me at Celebration in the Oaks this year.

For you beer drinkers who have never been. Nola on Tap is at City Park and is my favorite beer event of the year.

you can also walk around Scouts Island and find just about any drug ever made just by asking any of the gutter punks that live there.

There's also a cool outdoor model trains set up. I think it's at the entrance of the botanical gardens from the amusement park.
