I've been looking and they have a lot of 2.7Liter turbo engines that are 4 cylinders. Would you buy that if you really only pulled say a lawnmower on a trailer?

I'd wait for some long term evaluations of those engines since they are basically new, but I have a 2.7 Ecoboost in one of my vehicles and have had no issues. My work has several of them in our fleet and they've held up to the abuse so far over the last few years.

So, I wouldn't buy it today, but wouldn't be opposed in the future. Super helpful, I know

Gas? No. Diesel? I think some 400hp + semi engines are 4 cylinder and they seem to do OK.

Seems like the perfect truck for guys that wear masks in public.

My truck gets 14mpg, but sounds good doing work. Not buying a truck that sounds like a lawn mower.

I have a V8 now but this just feels weird. Dealerships are saying that GM is not making trucks right now and this is what they have left basically

So the 4 banger silverado finally trickled down to the Sierra?

Still wouldn't buy it. I would however buy the 4.3 litre V6 if I wanted economy.

I just bought a new GMC with a 5.3. Go with that if you aren’t towing.

Don’t. My dad just got one and he says his 2016 with the 5.3 and AFM got better gas mileage.

No worries. They may take the Ford route and route "V8 sounds" through the stereo. Keep the douche factor high.
