Need specific info on zero turn mowers

I'm looking at the Bobcat CRX 48" mower and it weighs in around 730 pounds. I went to a Hustler dealer and was talking with and told him what I was looking at and the first thing he said was that the pumps on the Boncat were too small for the weight of the machine.
The Bobcat has HydroGear 2800 pumps and they are specced at 1000 pounds. My question is if the pumps are rated per pair or each for spec recommended weights.
As it stands, the 730 plus a rider and any attachment puts it overweight if the pumps are rated per pair. If they are rated for each pump then the mower should handle 2000 pounds and have no issues at all

I was looking at the residential versions and I've heard the exmark laser isn't a very good machine though the commercials are.

The commercials are great! The way the sun comes up over the lawn and the mower mows a straight clean lawn is awesome. Then they play that great awesome music. I live their commercials.

I guess this was supposed to be to me? I have an accounting degree and run a small construction company. This mower is for my house. It puckers my butthole to think about spending 6 to 8k on a mower for me to use personally and not make money on it is why I would rather buy a residential version.

Laser Z is the commercial line. Quest and Pioneer are the residential lines. I like the commercial level because I know it will last as long as I need it.

Yeah. The quest is what I heard wasn't a good mower. My bad.

have you thought about a used commercial version, they are everywhere. I have a commercial walk behind for my .5 acre of grass, got a very good deal

How much are you cutting and how often?
During summer I run a lawn crew and we use a hustler 48" and a gravely 60" zero turn mowers

Quests are alright. They were introduced to compete with the garbage that big box sells. When you build it to compete with imported mowers the quality drops. Getting a used commercial grade mower isn't a bad idea because they are durable well made machines and there are mechanics that can work on them.

I have but the prices around this area are a joke for used zero turns. This area has a lot of lawn services and they want a fortune in the used stuff. Plus I want a 48" to fit through some openings in my yard. 48" mowers are scarce.

Three quarters if an acre weekly is what I would like. A riding mower means cutting it quicker and I can do it more often than using my push mower that takes an hour and a half each week.

Really that small, you don't need a huge mower at all and anything you buy should last 10+ years as long as you follow the maintenance schedule

Yeah 48", you are going to find more of the walk behinds from commercial companies. Have you thought about one of those with some jungle wheels/sulky/etc...

That us the plan. I have actually heard the Hustler raptor is a good mower and the Raptor SD is a really nice lower end machine. The Hustler dealer I talked recommended the 42" and told me to sell it and bump to a commercial machine when I develop and build my house on the 7 acres.
