The GF and I ordered about 5K worth of furniture from a store between us. One of the conditions of the order is that they include 4 extra pillows for one of her couches (don't ask, what she wanted). They agreed. I'm all for negotiation so I felt she got something.

So she has been pussy footing around with them since late August for these pillows they claim are still with the manufacturer. She hasn't allowed me to go down there and speak with them because she says I'm too rough.

In my mind they have 3 options:

1. They failed to deliver part of a purchase agreement, which makes it void. Come pick up all your furniture and give us our money back.

2. You've been fricking with us for nearly 3 months. I want the cash value of the pillows.

3. I want store credit of $350.

I don't have enough spare time to make an ordeal out of this but this is failure to deliver. She is pretty upset about the pillows, im pissed out of principle.

What is the most likely outcome here? It's bad business it seems. 12 weeks for delivery from manufacturer? They never ordered them.

Tell your "GF" that if she smothers you with one of the pillows I will give her $1000.00.

Thanks.

Just call and ask to talk to a manager or owner, don't talk to anyone else. Tell them what's going on. See if they deliver.

If they dont, call the corporate office. If there isn't a corp office, post their name.

I wouldn't get mad when talking with them, not until the mess up again.

If they didn't itemize the pillows on the invoice, you may be out of luck. If they did, ask for the money back if they aren't delivered in a specified time.
You can't void the whole deal over free pillows.

If you're so pissed, at least put the store's name on here. A lot of people determine where they shop based on word of mouth.

Like I said, it's principle. She is a nice girl and sweet. We kind of been working on her standing up for herself and negotiating things. We made some good deals on the furniture but it was her one ask.

Yes, it's small but I think she deserves satisfaction. She doesn't do well in conflict, etc. So yeah, I want to see her satisfied. I thought she did a good job holding on to her guns.

the moral of that story is, try to be slick and make the deal too complicated, it may come back to bite you in the arse.

all of this adding and removing options sounds like some shite that a used car salesman would try to do.

FWIW..... I bought a bed, they promised 4 therapeutic pillows but told us they didn't have any stock at the time. I actually forgot about the. And about 4 months after they called and told me they were. Since they took so long they also included a mattress protector. Call them and talk to them.
