Can anyone tell me if there was flooding in that area, specifically the south side off Coursey? Is there a website where people post their status? Is all cell service out in the BatonRouge area? I have a close friend I've texted and called with no response. Very worried about her, single, no family except for one son. Thanks.

Last I heard/saw, Coursey was flooded just east of Sherwood to Jones Creek Rd. I know S. Harrell's Ferry Rd was almost impassable around mid-day.

Sherwood in front of Sherwood Animal Hospital/Newcastle was flooded but not in buildings. Coursey was dry from Sherwood to Jones Creek where it got bad. Lake Sherwood has water up to the porch of many homes and a few homes actually took water.

We're in Parkview oaks subdivision just south of coursey between SF and Stumberg. We've been high and dry this whole time. No issues in the area until you go south and hit Jefferson/Tigerbend.

I'm sure your friend is fine- cell phone issues and some power issues persist in the area but no flooding.

Around 7pm I drove down Coursey just fine. In laws live off of Jones Creek. I came up Sherwood from Airline and took a right on Coursey all the way to the entrance of Hickory Ridge and took a path in there to get to Jones Creek with no issues. I didn't go to Jones Creek/Coursey intersection because I heard it was under water but Coursey was fine.

I was at Coursey and Jones Creek around 4. The intersection had about 3.5 ft of water from the wal mart to albertsons. Jones creek was passable exiting out of Albertsons onto Jones Creek. The neighborhoods on the south side of Coursey seemed fine

What part of Lake Sherwood?

Thanks I just saw this. Lake Lingham Circle which is off Lake Sherwood Ave North.

Going on 18hrs no contact. Rest of family is pretty concerned to say the least.

If they have water it's not enough to be scared about. We are across coursey in hickory ridge. Dry. Cell service has crappy. Try emailing, FaceTime, or connecting through social media.
