It's a handsome piece. Has a classic look to it. Can you link to its page. I don't know enough about Tissot to eyeball it (looking for size, movement, price, etc).
Is it for a graduation or something else significant, or are you just a kickass uncle with extra dough lying around.
My dad never bought me a watch that nice.

It's a great idea. A nice watch is one of the few things a teenage boy will generally take good care of. My dad gave me a nice Seiko and I've had it for 40 years. It still reminds me of him when I pull it out.

I think it goes well with the occasion. Being a Godfather is a big responsibility and giving a watch gives it a becoming a man kind of feel to it.
