Not me but my brother who is a police officer received a medal for saving a guys life. The guy choked himself with a belt while jacking off in his car. Found him unconscience and not breathing in a parking lot with his pants down and dick in his hand.

I'm sure he has killed a dog with one shot but I'm not sure. I'll have to ask.

Made the greatest kid in the world by just having sex

Competed in a sport on television

Saved a girl from being killed by her crazy X

Landed a woman way out of my league

I'm sure there is more I haven't thought of

That beats the fricking daylights out of fishing a stranger out of a Mexican riptide while drunk and tripping.

If you save your baby sister from drowning, family conflict immunity is virtually guaranteed. And even if it isn't, I'd feel pretty good about saving my younger sibling.

I don't think I've ever done anything amazing. Stupid, ballsy...but not amazing.

Only thing I got is when I went on my mission trip to Kenya 7 years ago. Getting to actually meet my sponsor child was pretty amazing to me.

I and the neighborhood friends were playing hide and go seek at my house. I decide to be clever and hide in my across-the-street neighbors bushes. I peek out of them, and my friend sees me, so I run for it. I decide to run around the backyard, and as I go around the corner of the house, my neighbor is practicing his swing with a nine iron, and I get the full force of it. My friend saw it (who was my best friend actually), but I was knocked unconscious. The neighbor stupidly carried me across the street without cradling my head, so I was bleeding all over the place.

Parents dragged me to the hospital, and they discovered the club went into my brain, as did pieces of my skull. They were definitely preparing for the worst, and I woke up shortly before the surgery just in a bunch of pain with no clue what was going on. They couldn't believe it, especially when I could carry on a conversation and count backwards from 10. My friend's parents didn't find him until 9:00 that night, since he was out in the woods pretty convinced that his best friend just died.

Was fishing a gar tournament at night, ran out of Copenhagen, drunk off my arse, jumped off the boat with my wallet in a ziploc, swam a couple hundred yards to shore, jogged to the c-store three miles away, bought snuff, jogged back, and swam back to boat. Amazing part--never puked.

I just pulled her out of the pool (having no idea who it was). Anyone one could have pulled her out... But thankfully paramedics were able to resuscitate her because the lifeguard was unable to.

ETA: glad you made it OML... That's crazy

Was diagnosed with stage IV lymphoma in dec.2011. Underwent 5 months of chemo and scanned clear at the end of the cycle. It relapsed 5 months later in fall 2012...and very quickly and aggressively. By the time I started treatment again, the tumor was 14 centimeter x 9 cm and completely wrapped around my lower spine between L1-L4. It destroyed almost all the nerves in my right leg and I was in a wheelchair. Underwent aggressive chemo/radiation treatment for 5 months at Emory. Inpatient for almost 70 days during that time. Day after day of being apart from my 4 children, ages 3,8,12 and 14. Treatment ended with a stem cell transplant in March 13. So far, I am a year in the clear. But I will say that it took more mental preparation and discipline to make myself remain at peace with the possible outcome of that sickness than anything I have ever done. I am a person of faith, and that helped me a lot. But I also had a "bring it on" attitude and was determined that even though I know I will one day die, my mindset was "not now and not by this."

I notice you didn't say "pretty" chicks. How much. Did that cost you?

This thread proves what I have been saying for a while. People have shot the meaning of "amazing" all to shite.
