My Nephew tells me he doesn't need to work, that's what Go Fund Me is for.

I had to laugh but

He was telling me about something he wanted and I asked what he planned to do work-wise to earn money to buy it and he hit me with the gofundme line.

That but also a terrible symptom of the millennial (also my) generation.

A friend of mine told his new wife to not make any payments on her $26k student loan. Because he was SO certain that Bernie would win and they would never actually have to pay it.

fricking loser.

If he can find a way to get paid while bringing nothing of substance to the table, more power to him. He's probably got a bright future as the president of LSU one day.

It's not an uncommon thought from 18-25 year olds right now.

Maybe not skipping out on making any kind of living.

But I know a young musician that was taking guitar lessons from me. He said he had enough music for an album but was struggling to get money to it recorded.

I tried telling him to give vocal lessons or work at a music shop for a little while or do something. Anything in his spare time.

But no. He was going to try Kickstarter and Go Fund Me again even though both had failed to get him any money for his album.

19 years old with the summer off, and he was too busy playing guitar and singing and bumming it to make $200-$300 to cut an album in some shite studio.

He might have been joking. I might have said something like that when I was a kid if gofundme existed, the little smart aleck I was.

Went to eat and brought my two year old.

Her: I have bite? Chicken nuggets?

Me: sure, WHEN YOU GET A JOB!!!

Then I ordered me some chicken nuggets and ate them in front of her. Damn free loading babies.

Tell him he could get money by stealing cars, selling drugs or selling guns.

Or, just tell him to start watching Vice Channel where everyone says they have no choice

I mean, if people are freely choosing to give their own money to someone else for whatever reason, then why wouldn't people ask for it?
