Or is it the old, "how do you do?"

My gf and I are on the verge and getting engaged and saving for a house. We both agreed no Christmas gifts this year, in order to save a few bucks. Last night she mentions to me that she saw something that she knew I would like, so she got me "just a little thought". She insists she doesn't want anything in return, but I ain't stupid. Now I'm running around on Christmas Eve looking for something to get her. She's getting a Fleur De Lis apron. Frick it.

Is this some high dollar apron I'm not aware of?

How far is it gonna set you back in buying a house to spend a couple hundred bucks for your fiancé's Christmas? Are you that poor?

Any guy who agrees to a deal where he doesn't get his SO anything for Christmas, birthday, anniversary, etc. and actually tries to hold to it… is an idiot. It's a test and unless you get her something, you fail that test. There is literally not a single woman in existence who doesn't want some kind of gift for those occasions. No matter what she says. Bank it, son.

You got plenty to learn. You ALWAYS buy her something, no matter how much she says she doesn't want anything.

That's the oldest trick in the book bitches run at Christmas.

Only a fool would fall for that.

Merry Christmas.

Took me about 15 years, but I taught my wife that lesson.

She said she didn't want anything for her birthday, she got nothing.

She repeated the request on Christmas. She got nothing.

I had a list this year. Problem solved.
