I surf a good bit and never have had problems but hear folks say tigers are usually the the peskiest just because they are so aggressive

no idea if that was bull or tiger or what, but it looked to be about 6 feet from dorsal to tail which means it could have been a good 10-11 footer, easily big enough to have just taken a leg or arm right off.

kinda shite that makes me want to go to the lake instead of the ocean.

The video is mesmerizing to me though. I can't quit watching the shark go after him.

From the reports it was probably a white shark. They're prevalent in South African waters. Glad the guy made it out ok

so that wasn't Aus.. interesting.

Yea the way the shark just popped up and the surfer disappeared, for about 30 secs or so you're in total suspense.

I used to fly over the beach from Destin westbound back to Louisiana at 500 ft and you would not believe the amount of sharks swimming near the coast. There would be sharks within 20 yards off people swimming on rafts and they have no idea. I stay in waist deep water in the surf since then.

Yea I remember dragging my GF through the deep surf down there sometimes, and thinking, "yea we're the only bait out here"..
