The actions you allude to here are not because of the war on drugs. Those actions are because of the cartels war on each other. In case you haven't noticed, the legalization of marijuana has not affected the drug cartels one bit. Turf battles and violence between those making illicit substances have existed before law existed.

Wrong. Terrorism is part of Islam and it always has been. Quotes and phrases you find in Islam:

Not only is Islam incompatible with the remainder of the world, it is incompatible within its own boundaries. Those who do not believe should be killed. Of those who believe, there is only one chosen tribe and all other tribes will be subjugated, skin color determines your fate.

Islam extends beyond religion. It professes to know about and govern every aspect of society.

By its nature and proscriptions it precedes government and takes precedence over government. Government intervention is inconsequential to the natural course of Islam - Islam breeds violence and conflict. It breeds terrorism.

Government intervention is the excuse provided for most Islamic terrorism. In truth, the only prerequisite needed for Islamic terrorism is the existence of Islam and its contact with something other than Islam.

Are there some acts of terrorism in response to various interventions? Yes. This attack at OSU certainly isn't one of them. This guy has been catered to by government intervention yet he chose to attack. This example alone proves you to be incorrect.

First, any lack of screaming about Brazil is due to lack of contact between Islam and Brazil.

Second, there are terrorism and Muslim conflict issues in China. In particular, for China, the issues arose when greater freedoms were extended to Muslims living in China. As restrictions were removed (such as travel and pilgrimage), they took advantage of these greater freedoms and had increased contact with other Islamic people in different regions. Guess what happened then - China started having problems.

Weed is legal in states that have had prominent cartel routes and hubs. Stratfor and others have well put together graphs showing these locations. The legalization has not hindered them at all and has not made them change their operations one bit.

The cartels will have no trouble supplying it at cheaper prices than what legalized weed will sell for. As long as the economy in Mexico is garbage, drug mules will take the chance to walk it across and keep it profitable for the cartels.
