I always had pleasant dealings with Scott. He was a very nice guy who always did things to promote the community. This is bad news.

Based on the accused shooter's title, I think I may have dealt with him too and he seemed like an OK guy. I dunno what happened, but it's a bad situation, especially with children involved.

I'm sure more details will come out soon. It's a shame that this happened, and I'm sorry for the family.

BTW, Iberville apparently has legitimately nice police cruisers for a such a rural parish.

Doesn't it say murder/attempted suicide? Considering Scott is dead I doubt he is the one who attempted suicide.

WBRZ reporter Ryan Naquin, who has been at the scene since this story broke, reported on Twitter that deputies said Hodgkinson shot and killed Rogers before shooting himself. Hodgkinson survived, and has been taken to an area hospital.
