There's a mini series on Amazon Prime about this, any of you involved ?

An explosive, true-life southern gothic story, Murder in the Bayou chronicles the twists and turns of a high-stakes investigation into the murders of eight women in a troubled Louisiana parish.

Between 2005 and 2009, the bodies of eight women were discovered around the murky canals and crawfish ponds of Jennings, Louisiana, a bayou town of 10,000 in the heart of the Jefferson Davis parish. Local law enforcement officials were quick to pursue a serial killer theory, opening a floodgate of media coverage—from CNN to The New York Times. Collectively the victims became known as the “Jeff Davis 8,” and their lives, their deaths, and the ongoing investigation reveals a small southern community’s most closely guarded secrets.

Haven't gotten to the end but, it had to be a cop or someone related to a cop.

There is more trash in that documentary than any landfill

The special leaves Prime on Jan 11th.

Watch it sooner than later if you think you might be interested.

‘Jeff Davis’ is racist.

Change the name and take the statues down and everything will be ok.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it seemed like at least some of those murders are not linked.

Think it’s Jennings 8

The old pimp definitely had something to do with it.

You’re just finding this series? It was covered at length here when the series originally aired.

Jennings could be the trashiest city in America.

Its gotta be close. I've been living there since the hurricane (outside the city limits), and while its extremely trashy, the residents who live inside the city limits of Ville Platte may be worse. I can say that since I lived in VP for 19 years of my life.

Doesn't even have to actually related around those parts. Just know the right ones and everything is kept quiet.

I read the book. I don't think the killer was one person, but I think one person was behind all of the killings. I forget the dude's name, but he was a piece of shite with some local connects.

Crowley, Rayne and Abbeville are all interchangeable with Jennings
