Ugh. Saw it earlier. This sucks.
I'm also afraid Terry Funk is next. Isn't he in hospice care?

It comes in threes
Maybe we'll get lucky and the 3rd is a career politician?

Especially for anyone who was working in the 80s or 90s.
The amount of substance abuse in that timeframe was insane, which is why you had guys dropping in the early 2000s of “enlarged hearts” regularly.

Agreed. And Paul had most of his right biceps removed from a surgery he had done that took a lot of his. Skills away.

Wrestling in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and into the 2000s wasn't really corporate. Wrestlers were often left to deal with issues they had on their own and there was no infrastructure available to them from the company, which led to instances of drug use.
I remember reading an article that stated Paul Orndorff put off a neck surgery that he needed because he was in the midst of a program with Hogan; his arm atrophied as a result.

He put off the surgery way too long and paid dearly for it.

Same.

Correct, he was doing his run on top with Hogan and it was making him too much money to take time off to get it fixed.
Hence the “one arm” jokes because one arm was significantly smaller than the other because of the nerve damage sustained.
Granted, there were also people doing things in an attempt to get noticed which weren’t good for them.
Hercules Hernandez did a bizarre promo once on Mid-South TV bragging about how much Dianabol he was using to get his muscles.
