I lived in Gulf Breeze for two years. It's between P'cola and P'cola beach. It's a great area. I would look at places in south Pensacola, close to downtown, or in Gulf Breeze, next to the beach. It's a military town and home to the Blue Angels. They're always flying around and waking people up in the summer months. That time of year can get really crazy with all the tourists as well. It's a couple hours east of NOLA and a couple hours west of Tallahassee, right off I10.

Is Gulf Breeze that expensive? My good friend's mother lives in Gulf Breeze and it appears to be a middle-class kind of place

I wouldn't say its expensive but it definitely costs more than Pensacola.

I can also say with confidence that the Pensacola Hooters has the hottest girls of any Hooters I have ever been to.

Which is about 8 in 2 countries and 4 different states haha.

Yeah good luck. Stuck in p-cola as we speak. Place sucks. I spend every weekend out of town.

Edit: I do like world of beers and tin cow. Hooters does stock up well with women and the area its at on the beach is kind of fun.

Location will be based on your needs. Where will you be working? I work in Pcola, live in Navarre. The pain in the arse is tourist season and dealing with issues/traffic on the bridge. 2 weeks ago there were breakdowns/wrecks and beach traffic to contend with, so it took me an hour and half to get home 3 days that week (usually takes 35-45 min if leaving at 4pm). I grew up in new orleans and have lived in navarre since 2003, worked east of navarre for 11 years, and now I'm working west of it. This drive is easier than the old one.

Gulf Breeze has it's pricey places, but is mostly middle class. You can find some good deals around. But it depends on where you want to be and what your priorities are. Like another poster said, the growth of downtown pensacola has been in the works and continues to be a priority of the mayor.

I wouldn't live IN Pensacola, but I wouldn't mind working there and living outside of it.

I loved near the interstate in the north eastern part of Pensacola in some apartments right by a circle K. I loved it right near the water and the interstate. Traffic wasn't bad and area was safe.
