I just accepted a job in Greenville, SC and will be moving there for 7 months starting the beginning of October. I've only been to the city once before but did not really get to go out and venture the city. I would like to find a place that is fully furnished and within the city. Any recommendations would be useful and my budget is $1000 +/-

Also, thoughts on living in Spartenberg as well?

I drive through there a lot on the way to raleigh to visit friends. Idk anyone there and sometimes id like to stop there to crash. Can I crash at your place at undetermined times in the future?

Greenville is a wonderful town.

Spartanburg....not so much.

Downtown scene is always a pretty happening thing.
Fall for Greenville outdoors festival coming up in early Oct. Don't miss it.
Plenty to do around here, whether it's the outdoors, the mountains, artsy stuff, or just swigging brews at a sports bar on Saturdays.

Alot of things popping up in the Greer area these days, which lies between Greenville and S-burg.

Moved up here from Ga. 18 years ago and have settled here for the long run. Great place to live...not too big...no ttoo small.

I have two sons that live there. They love it, they are into the white water Kyacming scene. They love the area! I could give you their contact info for some information on where to live what to do, etc. they are in early to mid 30's
Email me at gotojohnny@hotmail.com and I'll send you their contact info if you'd like.

Greenville is a great town. Stay away from Spartanburg. My in-laws live in Travelers Rest about 10 mins away (yes-its true) and its a cool quiet liitle area.

I've had a corporate apt here since April 2013 which I'm moving out of next week. Fully furnished 1 bedroom with w/d 1250/mo. Azalea Hill Suites. Pretty nice place on a golf course.

Upstate SC sucks, but Spartanburg is better than Greenville

Nice little town. Has an excellent craft beer store, the Greenville Beer Exchange. Don't know if you're in to that. Some cool downtown shops. I would live there, and I'm not a small town person. Furman is there, so a good number of fairly wealthy college kids. Clemson not too far away.

Falls Park is cool. I, accidentally, photographed a couple getting engaged there.

It's what passes for a city in South Carolina. Avoid Spartanburg.

See if your new company will let you live in Charleston.

Screw Charleston. I'd pick upstate SC every time. Much better value without the pretentiousness.
