If you're looking to pay $50-60 for a round, I play at Riverchase often (don't expect a perfect course but for a casual golfer, it's solid).

Grapevine, Addison, Uptown, Frisco

Really depends on what you are looking for. I lived in these places and really like all of them.

I moved to Dallas less than a year ago, Las Colinas is really nice if you're in Irving. All new restaurants and apartments buildings, upscale but not expensive, safe to walk around (at night too), running trails, dog park. If you want a city feel then Victory park (The 23, Ascent, Cirque, The Katy) is right by american airlines center.
