The family is thinking of a short 3-4 day trip during Thanksgiving holidays. We haven't ever gone into Arkansas -- from BR, what cities/towns are good to look at for cabin rentals that are near mountains in Arkansas?

Holiday Isle, Arkansas. Beautiful little town. Or something near Eureka Springs.

Rainbow Drive Resort in Cotter, Arkansas has what they call camper cabins. Basically just a 10x12 wooden cabin with a small A/C unit/heater. Only $50 a night, my friends and I stay every fall for fishing trips

There are some nice cabins near Broken Bow, OK. Also, Queen Wilhelmina Lodge in Mena, AR is popular.

Just got back from here last week...no cell (AT&T) or internet service, but that just added to the experience. Nice, clean, and very reasonable. Went to Hot Springs Saturday morning...wife had the soak and massage. Really, really had a good time....lots to do as well.

Mount Magazine in AR is nice. Has lodge and cabins. Probably booked by now.
As noted above, don't overlook Broken Bow OK and the Beavers Bend state park area. Beautiful area.
