Not a car guy here, but I wouldn't have predicted the winner. Given the choice though, I'm still taking the Ferrari or Aston Martin

The Tesla electric motor is a joke in a 1/4 mile. Now extend this to the nurburgring and it would be a lot more interesting

A friend took me for a ride in his new Porsche over the weekend. It's ridiculously fast. It's a turbocharged 911 with some kind of "sport/racing" package, but I'm not sure of the particulars. All I know is that it shits and gits. It looks like it's hauling arse just sitting in the garage.

As we took off one time, I made a crack that I'd like to know how many Gs we were pulling. He clicks an instrument cluster on the dash and meter appears, showing positive, negative and lateral G forces. Pretty fricking cool, but I'd probably get killed playing with the instruments.

Beautiful car and it goes like a scalded cat.

Yeah the electric motor is a behemoth for acceleration. Unfortunately it doesn't sound worth a shite.

Yeah all 911's are turboed now FYI.

Those G-meters are cool, lots of newer performance cars have that now days. Some even have front and rear cameras to record while racing.

Race to a 1/2 mile and the tesla would lose by bus lengths.

The real stat is the 911TS coming in a hair under the Ferrari...and for 1/2 the price (around $190k).

Nissans GTR

It's in the previous 2 races. Almost a whole second slower than the P100D

Are those cars getting better MPGs since they are traveling a quarter of a mile in a shorter time frame?

True, but it doesn't have the cachet of the Ferrari either. That said, it's a great deal (relatively speaking) for what you get.

Not selling the Turbo S short, but people do not buy Ferraris and Lamborghinis for all out performance.
