Scruffy is trying to switch to working out and running in the AM. Not the easiest transition. Didn't know 430 AM existed until recently.

How long did it take y'all to get used to that nonsense?

It takes no time.

You understand after the first day, it's so much better for you than any other time of day.

If it is not working for you find some other time. There is more time.

I think you have to be a morning person for morning exercise.

Its not awful to the point where it's unbearable. Just not used to it.

Working out in the afternoon is tough since work day usually ends around 6 or 7.

Then work out at night.

You get a better workout in the morning.

That's science. You should know that.

It's better to work out with having fasted anywhere from 8 to 10 hours?

I don't think so.

If anything, night is better because your muscles have been warming up all day. That's why you feel more nimble at night.

It is implied if you get up that early to work out....you haven't eaten since dinner.

So you have to get up even earlier to eat and let that food settle.

It's common sense.

Nobody is making that implication.

I think you just decided he has to go on an empty stomach. And we all know that isn't true.

Never, go back to PM workouts. AM workouts make me sleepy in afternoon meetings.

I'm not implying anything.

You said it's science that shows it's better to work out in the morning.

Well, scientifically, it's not if you get up that early, like he said in the OP and run after having fasted that long...because you are asleep.

It's common sense that drew me to that, and a defense against your science tactic, which you didn't even make a good position on.

He is not going to get up at 330 or 400 to eat and then work out at 430 if it's hard for him to normally work out at 430. Let him figure out the best time to work out.

Scruffy...I got you, doo.

If he's been on his feet making rounds all day, he's mentally and physically tired at the end of the day.

His workout will suffer as a result. There is no conclusive scientific evidence to suggest one time of the day is better for burning calories than others. But if he wakes up and gets his metabolism going with a bar, or smoothie, which takes seconds to prepare, the endorphins and energy he'll have as a result of getting up and going before work are far more beneficial than going at night.

That's gross man.

I think you should stop working out and embrace middle age like everyone else
