That's when it hit me that a lot of these lifetime fans of State have never experienced anything like this.
That's why I'm rooting for them. Give them something to cheer about for a year and then they can go back to sucking for another 100+ years.

Don't get me wrong... there is still a lot I hate.

COWBELLS - I would seriously love to shove each and every cowbell up the arse of it's MSU owner. I'm trying to watch College Gameday on Saturday and I can't even hear wtf they're saying half the time b/c annoying arse sheep frickers keep ringing those goddamn cowbells.

And DD is still a thug POS... but at least you're not as bad as Bama fans.

Possibly... but you can't deny that this year they're playing some damn good football.

3 wins over top 10 teams in 3 straight weeks. That's impressive.

2 things that should never be allowed at a football game:

1. cowbells
2. pom poms (how fricking gay is that?!)

Their excuse is that they don't use them during actual plays... kind of like music where they can play it between plays but not during.

Did you watch Gameday this last Saturday morning? They were at MSU and the entire fricking time all those idiots in the background did was clack clack clack clack with their goddamn cowbells. It was annoying as frick.

Annoyance level (1-10):

Wink - 8.5
cowbells - 15

Not nearly as gay as playing Sandstorm for an entire fricking game though.

If we keep doing well, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. Real talk.

Our fans were pretty good with the 'respect the bell' and a good 95% of them just yelled when the Center was over the ball. I only heard a few bells here and there. A number of Auburn fans also brought bells in.

Right. I saw the AD put out a notice urging fans to not use it during the opposing team's offensive plays but it still happens. His own letter says it is 25% of fans doing it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't allowed at a national championship or other large bowl game.

Mississippi State AD Chastises Fans Over Excessive In-Game Use Of Cowbell

quote:

if you don't put a leash on that cowbell, you will face the consequences.

So says Scott Stricklin, the athletic director for the Bulldogs. While he too was thrilled at Mississippi State's fast start, Stricklin lashed out at fans who rattle their cowbells while plays unfold on the field.

This breach of conduct violates the "Cowbell Compromise" of 2010, which is a real piece of SEC legislation that allows for the controlled use of such noisemakers.

Those rules stipulate that noisemakers can't be used to disrupt the game, and Stricklin contends that's exactly what fans were doing.

"This totally perplexes me. Dak Prescott doesn’t need fans ringing when they shouldn’t to make a dazzling play for our State. Bernardrick McKinney doesn’t need fans ringing when they shouldn’t in order to deliver a crushing tackle," Stricklin wrote in a letter to fans.
