So much freedom.

quote:

Heather Wallace's oldest son, 8-year-old Aiden, was driving his two brothers crazy in the car as they all returned from karate one afternoon in October 2021. Wallace asked Aiden to walk the rest of the way home—half a mile in quiet, suburban Waco, Texas—so that he could calm down.

For this she was arrested, handcuffed, and thrown in jail.

She was charged with endangering a child, a felony carrying a mandatory minimum of two years in prison.

Wait…what? Walking half a mile around the property was nothing.

My dad did this to my sister and me a couple of times. Guess my dad was a felon.

Good to know Waco doesn't have any other crime going on.

They think this will be less harmful to the kid than walking a half a mile home?

Should I call the police on my parents for doing this to me multiple times when I was a kid?

This is legit scary. frick everyone involved, including the nosy bitch who called the cops. If you’re that concerned, walk the fricking kid home. It’s down the street.

Meanwhile, the actual criminals get slaps on the wrist and are right back on the streets.

I bet the mom and dad didn't talk very kindly to the cops(I would've been pissed too) and the cops were probably idiots who felt disrespected, and they went away overboard.

I don't see how this is arrest worthy. Especially if she was monitoring him.
