We had a 50 year old paralegal who was a gamer. She met some dude playing - I dunno, Halo? - and left her husband to move to DC. She was a grandmother! Of course 6 months later she was back and tried to return to work.

Did she travel alone? Surely anyone who she would have traveled with would have slapped some sense into her and told her not to do it. Pretty interesting story

Yep. Sounds like woman meets US military guy on internet and doesn't tell him she has four kids at home. Guy invites her to Germany and pays for her ticket, baby sitter falls through and she says "frick it" and leaves the kids. Betting she justified it in her mind because she was "in love" and wants to marry this dude

No one has mentioned yet that 12, almost 13 might be old enough to watch kids?
People hire babysitters that are 12 and 13 do they not? I remember for sure in Central Middle school some of the girls having after school babysitting jobs. Obviously it was just for a night or few hours and not an international trip () but still...
