You know this has been going on for a while now. The PC movement is slowing taking away our rights, but the funny thing is the punishment is public persecution, and your not actually breaking any laws.

Just like these people that want to hold a rally... yet some in here would like to see them "penalized to the fullest extent of the law".

Are you fricking kidding me?

And on top of that if these mouth breathing jerkoffs have such big balls then send their asses to Afghanistan so they can try to take their rage out on the real perpetrators, not innocent people trying to go about their daily lives and worship in peace.

That's about as ridiculous as telling black people to go back to africa if they don't like police in this country.

Right, because that's close to the same thing as the subject of this thread.

I would say the religious freedoms in this country allowed these "innocent people" to come here and build their mosque in the first place. If I were to go over there and build a Christian church I'd probably get my head cut off.

So our freedoms are good b/c they allow them to come here and retain their culture and practice their religion... yet others should restrict their own freedoms b/c it's offensive to them?

What if I say their mosque is offensive to me... should they tear it down to appease me?

I can't believe how many in here think these people should back down b/c it might cause some Muslims to start some shite. Bunch of fricking cowards.

Oh now the man has insults.

Look, if you can't understand that trying to incite violence with Muslim people outside a place where they worship for NO reason other than a few jackasses of their mosque went rogue is stupid, I don't think you'll ever get it.

yeah they can do this. Yeah there are a lot of shitty Muslims that you probably deserve to have this rubbed in their face.

At the same time, this is a dick move. Like having a "frick Jesus" party outside a church.

so choosing to not act like a dick by going out of my way to piss people off is giving up my freedom?

if I go start burning bibles in front of a tight knit church in the middle of Alabama while chanting that Jesus was a POS f--gt do I get to call Christians terrorists when good old boy inevitably beats my arse for acting like a fricker?

Should that dude beat me up for exercising my freedom? Of course not. Is it pretty likely I'll get my butt beat for deeply offending a bunch of people that otherwise would have never acted a fool towards me? Yea probably.

Then I guess I won't ever get it. Your place of worship sends out some jihadis to start shite with America... then don't be mad when America starts some shite back.

People do dick-ish things every damn day in this country. That doesn't mean it's illegal and that anyone should try to tell them that they can't do it. Welcome to America, buddy.

If that's what you want to do then do it. It's your right.

Not one person has given a legitimate reason why these people aren't allowed to do what they plan on doing other than "it's dickish" or "they're assholes".

Last time I checked there were no laws against being a dick and/or an a-hole.

See that's the thing about SJW's and the PC movement. The public persecution is actually worse than breaking the law.

The point you're not getting is that the SOLE reason they are drawing Muhammed is to piss off Muslims.

You have the right to do lots of things you have no good reason to do. Would you feel that your freedom was restricted if the neighborhood bully "stopped" you from doing something that you never would have dreamed of doing until you heard it would piss him off?

That comparison doesn't even do it justice because to be a really apt comparison your action that drew out the bully would also have to reasonably be expected to lead to other people getting bullied and to create more bullies.

It would be asinine just like these drawing contests.

They sole purpose you're not getting is WHO GIVES A frick? Is it illegal to piss off Muslims now?

What's asinine is defending a group of people that would only love to see you submit to their beliefs or die.

So what's the next step? What do you do when they want to come into your city and enact Sharia law?

"Well guys I guess we better just submit... wouldn't want to incite any violence or piss anybody off. We should probably just do what they say."

nobody is saying they aren't allowed to do it.

they are saying they shouldn't do it.

if you cant comprehend the difference or even why what they are doing is very counterproductive and should be abandoned I dont know what to tell you.
