I thought it was more like the Forester, CR-V, or Equinox…

The Outlander seats 7 if you put the back row up.

I wouldn't buy a Mitsubishi or Nissan personally. Get a Toyota or Honda man.

My sister-in-law totaled the Outlander. Not her fault just some crappy young driver on the expressway. Our CRV is a bit smaller, but also cost $10k more. The CRV CVT is as perfectly smooth as butter. The Mitsubishi CVT was okay, but had its quirks.

Nissan and Mitsubishi are in their own tier, well below Kia/Hyundai

I had no idea that Nissan was that low on the quality scale.

I bought a used 2016 a few years ago with less than 40k miles on it. 70k miles later, and it's still going strong. I know one other person who has had a 2020/2021 for a few years and says the same.

I am not an expert in automotive quality, and have never owned a Mitsubishi. However, I have never met a Mitsubishi owner who bragged about how much they like it. For the record I own a 2013 Nissan Frontier with about 120K miles, and haven't had a single issue with it at all, it's very solid and dependable. I have never met anyone that said the same to me about their Mitsubishi.

People brag when they try to convince themselves something is worth what they paid.

Bought a 2022 ES trim new for 28k. We love it and zero issues after 22k miles. Very comfortable and rides great. I don't get the hate. It's actually the only japanese brand SUV that is made in Japan. Fit and finish are really good. Even Scotty Kilmer gives it a thumbs up. Averaging 28 mpg. With the best in class warranty you can't go wrong. MIL bought one also and no issues. Mines a silver with all black interior so thee chrome gills on front are not so prominent. Sure one can spend waaay more but why

Neither have I which is why I’m somewhat in the dark. But online reviews show them quietly climbing the ladder in reliability according to several sites. They’ve had a negative reputation until since 2019.

Only because Nissan got worse, not because Kia and Hyundai got better. No matter what telluride owners will try and convince you

OP asked for opinions on the current model Outlander, and gets 3 pages of shittin' on Mitsubishi in general.

Like every single vehicle made by any other brand is without peer...
