I recently hit 200k on my car and wondered how many lifetime miles I've driven. My rough estimate is 700k over 23 years. I'm expecting this to be slightly above average, due to 15 of those years in Houston (avg 40 min commute each way) along with my part-time job at LSU as a runner with deliveries all over BR (and also to Nola and Laffy).

No accidents yet, mostly due to pure luck but I also seem to be the last person under 50 that still follows the 2 second rule. Before you curse me for it, think about how many times you've been able to slide into that gap.

I remember the first time I hit it from behind.

13 years, 640k on personal vehicles.

No idea what I have driven in company cars when I was doing site inspections.

I've slowed down a little. But I'm at 175k on one of my SUVs, by june 20th it will be at 185k... Road trip.

Approximately 305k miles driven since 2000. That's just on vehicles that were mine though. If I included miles I drove in my wife's, family/friends, old girlfriends etc. vehicles, you can safely add another 100k.

So basically between 20k to 26k a year on average. I didn't really think I drive all that much But it's slowed down a lot. For a while I was commuting from Metairie to BR for work. And I went home a decent amount when I was at LSU for the first couple years. Apparently that adds up. I've only driven 6k miles the last 7 months.

The time doesn't mean anything. My wife (no pics) and I used to drive an hour to work each. She went 17 miles in traffic, I went 55 on the interstate.

My company documented that I drove over 1,000,000 miles in company cars and add another 400,000+ personal miles so close to a million and a half miles total.

I'm at 425K miles on my work truck, 2001 Silverado. Only thing not still original is the transmission that I replaced in March.

40 years driving. Probably forgetting some vehicles. About 1.4 million miles. No at fault accidents. Mostly standard transmissions. Probably spent $1500 on transmissions during that time.
