I have had this bastard for 8 straight days now. Nothing works on it. Cant sleep cause the pain explodes during my sleep and wakes me up. Cant eat cause it the pain makes me nauseated. I’m ready to put my head through a wall here. Any suggestions?

My 10 year old son died from cancer. Obviously I wasn’t being literal.

I used to get migraines and the only thing that helped was to take 4-5 bc powder and try to lay down. It worked better than the prescription meds I was given. Yeah, I know that’s not good for you, but migraines are hell.

do you have a history of migraines? and does this headache feel like prior headaches?

You may want to go to a doc and get imaging done.

Also, there are great abortive meds for migraines nowadays. much more than just triptans. there are antibody directed meds that completely wipe out migraines.

My sister has bad migraines and they absolutely put her down while she is having them. Quiet dark room and it lasts a couple of days.

If you’ve really had a migraine for 8 straight days, you should have seen a doctor by now.

Dilaudid doesn’t work well for migraines.

Fluids, toradol, Benadryl, and compazine is our cocktail.

Have you tried a Calcium Channel blocker like Verapamil on a daily basis? Its usually used for blood pressure but by allowing blood vessels to relax they can prevent headaches if taken every day.

Started getting them a couple years ago but they have steadily increased in frequency and intensity

I had a cat scan last week. It was clear in terms of masses or tumors.

Doc has me In sumatriptan for it. Doesn’t do much anymore. I am probably going to go back to my doctor tomorrow. But honestly the whole stigma of “muh dilaudid” junkies makes me embarrassed to tell him the stuff he put me on is not working.

Had a toradol and Benadryl shot last week along with an IV. It definitely brought down the intensity but when I woke up the next morning the pain was back
