How long until I can pee without it feeling like I’m pissing razor blades? It’s been 48 hours. They say it should feel better in a few days but it’s not getting any better.

Yeah. It’s called a cystoscopy where they stick a tube up your pee hole.

Why?

I'd hold it until I couldn't.

I have an enlarged prostate and they’re trying to figure out why. The cystoscopy showed my prostate is otherwise healthy and so is my bladder. CT scan is next.

I've had them twice, both times it felt like razor blades peeing the first 24 hours or so and I didn't really didn't have issues after the second day. If you are still having major issues after three or four days I'd call your doctor.

I put your post in a different order, which should help answer your question and erase your confusion.

They said “a few days,” and it’s only been two.

You’re welcome.

Well if you want to get technical I did say this^ implying that I’m expecting a gradual improvement. Not for it to suddenly go away at the 72 hour mark.

Your urologist must be rough. I had no issues at all. But then I have a fantastic urologist.

For a couple of hours, it burned a bit and felt like i had to pee all the time, but by the time the drugs completely wore off, I was fine. The doctor told me I have a urethra like a garden hose, so I got that going.

I went and had Chinese food with mom right after the procedure. I was one relaxed mofo.

Any time someone approaches you and says "I need to shove this camera up your dick", I highly recommend you demand lots of Valium and some propofol.

I had no issues afterward.

Call your urologist in the morning. Get them to do a urine test to see if its a UTI or something.

Just guessing but you may have an infection, may need some antibiotics.

staying limp is an important part of the pain free process. I last had it done a couple weeks ago and the young lady nurse squirted a syringe full of lidocaine up my pecker as part of the preparation. An alternative approach is to request a transgendered lgtqb ++ nurse to do the prep.

Went to a urologist and told him I didn’t start peeing like an old man until after I had a catheter in me for neck surgery years ago. He said, “Well a catheter can cause scarring or strictures, so lets shove a camera up your peepee hole to see what’s up.”

So you’re saying that shoving something up my peepee hole probably caused my isses, and your solution is to go exploring by shoving something bigger up my peepee hole? No thanks.

Old age, had all of those done. Wait until they do the prostate biopsy.
