Memorial day

Not to be a sap, but Memorial Day is about those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Today, and for the weekend, I drink cheap beer, smoke good cigars, and grill good food for Joe Nolan. You were an Irish drunk, a damn good Arabic linguist, a great NCO, and a helluva friend. I miss you and I love you.
I couldn't find steel reserve, but as a dummy at LSU Bud diet was my go to, so there is your cheap beer. I am smoking a Cohiba Esplendido sin band, and I will be grilling thick T-bones.

A coworker did something really nice for me. So I thanked her and said "have a happy Memorial Day." And then I realized that a "happy" Memorial Day was not a respectful to the holiday. So I told her to go stand in the rain and mud and reflect on life all of monday. She was very confused.
In all seriousness, I'm thankful to everyone who has given their life in service for their fellow man and am eternally proud of their sacrafice.

Ehh, I "volunteered" to go into work for 4 hours Monday morning. I'm new at work and we work in a global company so someone volunteered to go in to work to make sure things progressed smoothly. It was suggested I go in to observe.

My weekend will definitely be spent thinking and thanking the brave soldiers that paid the ultimate price but my friend Torre will have a special place in all of my conversations this weekend.
