Regarding the meme (that's been going around for many many years) My parents vs me at the same age...the OT seems to not understand these kids are making fun of themselves and how they've been able to accomplish so little compared to their parents at the same age.

I think the meme format is multilayered.
It's acknowledging that their lives are (in a way) shittier and their parents had it (in a way) better.
But what I think it misses (although I hope not) is that their parents were happier because they hadn't bought into the lie of progressivism.
It is a poison pill that promises to promote but only punishes.
