Lumumba died in office so there was an election between Lumumba's son and Tony Yarber.
Yarber won, and he honestly seems like an intelligent man who wants to save the city. He has made some decent proposals, but the city council fights him at every single turn.

Obviously you can't live downtown in either city (unless you're the Governor). It's about a tie as to suburban life at either place. I'd rather be three hours from NOLA than three hours from ATL, so that points towards Jackson.
