You don’t like the curve mart?

Honestly I’ve never stepped foot inside there. Is it a legit grocery store?

but if you went to the fair this weekend, Thibodaux is most definitely bayou country.

Those people were from chackbay, Choctaw and choupique

I've been researching "staving" and I can't figure out how it can be related to a horse!

This thread is great. OP means to make fun of DTB people, owns all of the prairie cajuns instead.

Not on the bayou or a starving horse, but my BiL got a visit from Animal Control because some snowflake who had moved out from DC complained his cow was too fat.

In a way, the idiot was correct, she was a freemartin who had become a pet and died of old age. She was fat as he moved her around the yard so he would have less grass to mow, but what was he supposed to do, chain her up on a parking lot until she dropped 50 pounds?

That was one of many incidents with the people who moved out from DC. One lady pulled up in the yard to tell him his cow and died. He told her she was just taking a nap. The lady argued with him, telling him she knew more about cows than he did. He picked up her feed bucket and slapped it and the cow popped right up.

Not really. Traditionally, "down the bye" is a reference to Bayou Lafourche. And to be "down", that's at least Raceland. But, maybe somewhere between the fire department and GoBears might be the line. Definitely not Thibodaux. Thibodaux might as well be in Ohio.

South Lafourche peeps continuing to believe they’re the only place with a bayou. Chill out and be happy y’all got 3 roads nowadays.

being born and raised in Raceland, this is the right answer.... basically Thibodaux, Labadieville, etc, is "up the bayou" and between Lockport and Larose is "down the bayou"
