Half of Carly’s wire is equal to 2/3 of jacks wire. The total length of the wire is 11 feet. How much longer is Carly’s wire than jacks

There was a graphic attached to the problem with 4 equal size boxes on the top row and three on the bottom. So what I came up with was dividing 11/7, which was 1.57 and I applied that number to each box to get the total of each wire then on from there. Is that correct

2) C + J = 11
Solve for either C or J:
C = (4/3)J
Sub C into Eq 2:
(4/3)J + J = 11
(7/3)J = 11
J = (33/7) = 4 5/7
Substitute into either 1) or 2), solve for C
C = (44/7) = 6 2/7
Difference = 44/7 - 33/7 = 11/7 = 1 4/7
Ans = 1 4/7

.5(11-y)=2/3y
5.5-.5y=2/3y
