Pre-existing beef between cops and dad?
- Drug ring involved with cops and dad?
- Did they know a kid was in the car?
- Did they use their service weapons or personal weapons?
- How many shots were fired?
- Did the dad try to run or escape in any way, or was this basically a hit?
-haven't heard anything about drugs
-I hope not, but there was a terrible internet rumor going around that the kids hands were visible in the video
-I am guessing service weapons were fired
-The Col. I think said 18 shots were fired
-that's the question. I have read that the marshals were out of jurisdiction when they tried to pull over Few, in addition to them issuing tickets without city councils knowledge. If he did run, it was likely justified, as the marshals had no legal authority to pull him over.
A couple of other things, marshals claimed they were serving a warrant, but the Col. said no warrants have been found. Also that there's zero evidence that Few tried to run over the marshals. Lastly that the video has to be pretty terrible for him to say its the most disturbing thing he's ever seen.
Just to give you an idea of how backwards this is- the elected marshal for these guys isnt certified as LEO, and is a bus driver IRL.

That's the question. He was turning around in a dead end street and ended up riddled with gunshots. Other question is whether at least one was an unmarked undercover car.
Wasn't a dead end. He was killed at an intersection.
Quit spreading rumors and making shite up.

I keep expecting Denzel Williams and Ethan Hawk to show up in this thread. This is some real corrupt thug-cop shite.

I heard he turned off on the side street to let the cops go by because he didn't think they were going for him.
He put it in reverse to back out thinking they had passed and they took that as a threat. His truck did actually hit the unmarked car (I believe). There were pictures of some very minimal damage.

Just for reference that's the corner of Taensas St. and Martin Luther King Drive in Marksville. Just found the exact location on Google Earth. It's not a dead end.
The LSP Col. said there was no evidence that he put the car in reverse. Knowing these guys they might have put it in reverse after the fact and thats what was caught on tape.
Let me see if I can find the link saying the car wasn't put in reverse.

The boy, Jeremy Mardis, died on Tuesday night after police shot into a car driven by his father, Chris Few. On Thursday, Colonel Michael Edmonson, head of the Louisiana state police, denied earlier reports that Few had been reversing his car toward the officers, who then had to defend themselves. “No. I didn’t say that,” he told the Guardian. “That didn’t come from me.”

Look at street view. YOu wouldn't consider that a dead end?

No. Look at the photo I posted above. The orange lines are where his vehicle was. A dead end would imply he could go no further. Looking at the street view he could have taken a right onto Taensas.

Look dude, I think this is incredibly sad story and at worst a textbook example of nepotistic corruption. Everything I posted was quantified with a big fat disclaimer for discussion on TD. Few facts exist and the marshalls lied from the beginning.
I have not been there in a bout 2 years, but it could hardly considered an intersection.
Look at streetview. Again, unless they Teansas was cleared and paved, I'm not sure who you could consider that an intersection for any practical purpose.

Maybe it's semantics. Practically, it's neither a dead end or an intersection.
He could not go left or straight, but yes, could have gone right.
Frankly that looks worse than a true dead end. He could have fled and didn't. They shooting took place in an relatively isolated area.

That's one of the most troubling parts about this whole thing. If he was fleeing, why stop in a place you can escape from?

Exactly. If one wants to play up the "planned execution" theory it's pretty easy to do so given that based on basic circumstances, there was little to no justification to open fire and it's a fairly remote area of town sheltered by trees.

so if his car was 3, pointing towards the gate/fence, was the marshalls' car blocking him in front? are all those orange dots on the ground where bullet casings were found?
Posted on 11/11/15 at 1:27 pm to Mung
That would make a lot more sense if Few's car was the second one. If those dots in the grass are casings, that would imply they were shooting from left to right through the driver side window.
Pretty much definitively kills the "we were in danger for our lives" argument. Even if Few did back up, he wouldn't have hit the marshals car, and if the marshals were shooting from the side, they weren't in his way.
My guess is that Few pulled over and the second marshal car pulled around him in the right.

Megan Dixon, Few's girlfriend, has told several news organizations that Few and Greenhouse had a history. Dixon over the weekend told a local newspaper that Greenhouse, a former high school classmate, had started messaging her on Facebook and had come by the house that she and Few were sharing at the time.
I told Chris, and Chris confronted him about it and told him, 'Next time you come to my house I'm going to hurt you,'" Dixon told The Advocate of Baton Rouge.

If this comes down to some small town loser and a high school crush he couldn't let go of I'm gonna puke.

I wouldn't be ssurorised if Few refused to stop until more squad cars arrived because he knew which cop it was and was scared to be alone with Greenhouse.
Once other cars show up he stops but the other cops still go along with the execution because of mindless loyalty.
