I don't remember the park it allegedly happened in but had a park ranger tell me a story about a man who was killed by a moose. It qualified as a Darwin Award because the moose was sitting near the road... and he wanted a picture of it standing up. So he got out of his car and kicked it.

I went out there fishing last summer and some dude had tried to put his kid on a bison's back for a picture. I don't remember if they died or not.

many of the stories in the book involve staff, not just visitors.

They are around the dangers so much they get complacent. They walk off cliffs in the dark and what not.
