Can I ask y'all a serious question in here regarding being a big brother type mentor w/o having to start a useless thread?
Have any of y'all just happened to meet a kid (18 yo HS senior) that y'all took a liking to and wanted to become a mentor, without it being in some BBBS Non-profit program? I'm curious if it could be looked at weird by the parent of the kid and have any sort of negative push back? I mean granted he kid is from what appears to be a completely broken home, doesn't know his mom and dad is a tPos

No a guy. He is 18 but still a senior at Cohen and HOPEFULLY graduates this May, but he does still technically lives with his dad.
Been talking to him here and there and go shoot hoops at Burke Park, and thinking about seeing if he wants to go to some Pels games. He could really use some positive influence. I just don't want someone to see It as weird, mostly maybe his dad.
