This is some fascinating reading for business types and pot lovers alike. Of course, only a state run University could come up with a business plan to grow and sell pot that requires an $11.3 MILLION investment and won't show a projected profit until 2020 or 2023.

Some things to note, the Senior Horticulturist will get a starting salary of $171,600.00, the lowest level Technician makes $57,200.00 and they are putting in a $400,000 security system. The plan calls for 8,000 five gallon pots for the grow and they can't sell anything that is smoke-able. It has to be oil, edible, etc.

The plan also gives background on the goofy arse law our Legislature came up with that puts all kinds of requirements on the prescribing doctor as well.

This is what happens when pothead professors venture into the real world.

Weed should be legalized and taxed, but not anymore than beer or tobacco.

All they have to do is walk over to the Pentagon dorms and copy that business model. It's that not difficult!

It has to start like this, heavily regulated until some of the old guard die off in the legislature. Baby steps.

And we wouldnt have this but for JBE, the DA and Sheriff's lobby fought this every step of the way.

Louisiana has many states to look at and see what they did. Nope, let write some goofy laws that are corrupt and impossible to follow.

And we wouldnt have this but for JBE

Jindal signed a medical MJ bill in 2015

quote:

The "i" in Gov. Bobby Jindal's signature has been dotted, and Louisiana now has a law in place that allows for the legal growth, prescription and dispensing of medical marijuana.

The move makes Louisiana the first state in Deep South with legal access to medical marijuana, though it's likely to take more than two years for the product to become available to patients who qualify. The restrictive law also says it will only be available in a non-smokable form, like oils.

before JBE, the leg/Jindal also overhauled the criminal prosecutions

quote:

The other bill (HB 149) would reform criminal penalties for marijuana, making it a misdemeanor rather than a felony for a second offense of marijuana possession. It also allows first-time offenders to erase their first conviction for possessing marijuana if they don't re-offend within two years.

8,000 five gallon pots, probably purchased for three times retail from someone's retarded brother in law who use to work for lowes and has contacts in the pot manufacturing business.

$400,000 security system from an alumni who is in the security business and who also is big supporter of TAF.

$171,600 salary for a senior horticulturist who's actually a general studies grad from south eastern but who's father is an LSU alum and member of the Louisiana legislature.

As I've said a bajillion times ending marijuana prohibition is the economic boon that can prevent the next collapse.

Did anyone who read the report figure out why they were giving Tyron Matthieu 24/7 access to the growhouse?
