i didn't say I believe it...i still want to get one. Maybe he doesn't like working on them. Some cars are easier to work on than others.

I hear you. In fairness, from what I have heard (in passing only) is that the late 90s/early 2000s were horrible to work on. While they have gotten better, they're still more difficult to work on, and therefore more expensive than a Honda.

Like you, there is just something about them that I like.

i think they are the best looking cars and suv's on the road. I had my BIL looking into some Audi's but he went with a Lexus.

The Accord. It is certified and I am sure still under warranty.

The Honda, all day if you're keeping it long term. Once the warranty expires on the Audi and something goes wrong, you'll wish you didn't have it.

I have the bug right now, and will probably do something really impractical soon. I have a buddy who is really into cars and is trying to steer me toward some "better made" models from another brand, but I just keep going back to the Audi.

They are very nice looking and seem to have good appointments and trim. But, it's the maintenance and repair nightmares I keep hearing that make me wary.

You really can't go wrong with an Accord.

I really only heard it from one mechanic but I would think new is the way to go or with pre owned with warranty.
