The real gap when comparing apples to apples is in the neighborhood of 5%. If 5% was the number used in these discussions then I think some real work could be done that would benefit everyone.
But that is NOT the shock and awe stat politicians and talking heads are looking for to get their base fired up.

Don't Professinal Athletes and CEO's making tens of millions of dollars a year skew the #s so bad
